Default Need some help with DD2000

Trying to run DD2000 for my 406. I have a few questions:

1. How come DD does not take stamped vs. roller rockers into account?

2. What is the CFM for Q-Jet? Does 750 sound right?

3. What am I suppose to use for timing? Leave at “0” as defaulted?

4. I am using World Products, Sportsman II heads 200cc intake with 64 cc chambers. CanÂ’t figure out which file to use as there are 6 different names in there. Here is the list of heads with hp/torque numbers:

SBC SportsmanII 201 cc--------- 381/447
SBC WP SportsmanII ------------ 381/447
SportsmanII -----------------------381/447
World Product SportsmanII------- 357/447
World Product 200----------------- 400/450
WrdPrdSprtmnII--------------------381/447

Thanks for any info in advance

1. The roller rockers if they are the same ratio will make little difference.

2. Hard to say what the flow number is without a part number. Just type the part number into a Google search and you will probably get your answer.

3. Don't know that one. I assume it uses a standard performance timing curve.

4. You can either enter the flow numbers for your head, or there are some free sites that allow you to download some optional stuff but I don't remember if heads are included. Anyway, I'd just manually enter the flow numbers in the "port flow" button on the tool bar.

You have Yahoo mail with dd2000 head flow files.

Thanks George. I already have all those files, the problem is I don't know which on to use. Tried looking on the supplier website, they only have the 72 cc camber ones.

There is more than one file for same head. Each gives different numbers for hp :banghead: :banghead:

I am going to assume mine gets the most hp :lolg: :lolg:

As far as ignition timing, it assumes "optimum" timing. For cam timing, it depends on how you're going to install your cam. I'd just assume zero. The "book" that comes with DD2k (one of the pdf files in there) is very informative and you can learn a lot, if you want to take the time to read it.

After you choose the flow files for Sportsmans II's Go to cylinder heads - down arrow - custom port flow - It will give you the cylinder head air flow data for all the lift points.

The flow files don't have different CFM for 76 or 64 cc heads So your hp should change if your putting in all the other figures correctly.
