I replaced the q-jet that I had (17059507) with an 78 L-82 quadrajet (17058228) provided by Nomad78SA.
The L-82 q-jet was also rebuilt locally by a place called Ace Fuel Systems and fitted with an electric choke.
The real fun part is the car's 0-60 time went from about 8.3 to 6.5 with an ignition kit, carb rebuild, headers, and duals. At this pount, I'm very eager to dig into the engine now. My friend told me, "Soon you'll be in the 5's and your car will be real fast then". I plan to skip the 5's all together... :D
