Plastic Fan Shroud
71 350/270 How do You get this thing out? It seems to be binding on the front corner of the upper a-arms. I removed the bolts and large washers from the a-arm to gain some room. I also removed the top bolts and loosened the bottom bolts of the radiator bracket to gain some room but still binding.

Tom, most of these C3s, it's easier to remove the core support/radiator/shroud as a unit. Been there/done this-many 'o times. :lol:

Because of the angle of the fan shroud under the A-arm's the rad has to move forward. That can only happen if you remove the bolts for the support. They are in the wheel wells. Once they are out you can pull the rad toward the front and twist it out.

Tom: This last summer I ran into the same problem when needing to remove my engine. I agree with the previous posts that you'll need to remove the radiator support posts and core. This may also prove to be a PITA but just take your time and be patient. :cheers:
