Front Towing point
Hi Folks
Could someone tell me where the front towing point should be on my 73 BB. Somewhere in its life its gone missing and I’m not sure what it should look like or where it should go.

I think you have these cars confused with newer cars, or older iimports. They had no frame mounted hooks or eyelets that were used for tiedowns for shipping or towing.

If you try to tow it with a chain or a towbar you will tear up the front under the nose. If you are going a short distance, put it on a two wheel dolly, if longer then use a flatbed trailer (something you can drive all four wheels up onto).

There is no place to tow our vets. The front spoiler sits down too low and gets destroyed by any cable used to pull the car.
I solved this problem along with a jacking point by welding a 1/8th stainless plate to the crossmember plus a large nut where I screw a nice tow hook into.
Even to load it on a trailer how do you grab onto the car without spoiling the spoiler?
