One of these days I would like to replace my missing 79. This looks like it would make a candidate. Coming from Florida for some reason scares me though. Anyone know anything about these guys.

Bid retractions and recent feedback would drive me away. Did you happen to notice they showed two pics of the steering wheel with it upside down? So... maybe they had the wheels turned. It looks stupid and I'm sure others will probably pick that up. If you are going to sell something, do it right.

The carfax lookup on the VIN doesn't work, mostly because they don't handle cars this old. I'm sure he has an excuse for that.

I'd sure love to see that "Carfax report" I assume he's claiming he has on the car. If he actually produces one, it's a forgery and that's outright fraud.
The '79 model year produced more Vettes than any other. If you want one there are plenty of good ones out there. Patience and research will leave you a far more satisfied owner. Pass on this one.

There are too many negative feedbacks for this seller for me to be comfortable bidding on such an item. Also did you notice the response to all the negative feedbacks. Its all like READ THE AUCTION SUCKER, DID NOT, and NOT OUR FAULT... Doesn't seem like the kind of people anyone would want to be dealing with.
So I am saying leave this one for another. You'll find something if your doing your homework regularly.
