HOOD RELEASE
Frank
You need to adjust the cable that runs from the driver's side latch to the passenger's side latch so that they release at the same time. On the driver's side latch the end of the release cable has a plate with several holes for the latch pin to engage. Pick a hole that will release both latches at the same time.

Reinstalled the hood after the engine rebuild and checked the allignment and made a few adjustments before closing it all the way. When we were certin the hood would close and be pretty close to fitting we shut it all the way. Upon pulling the release, the drivers side poped up and the passenger side popped but also stuck. After researching the problem and retrying, we determined the whole hood should have been adjusted back towards the windshield. We determined this by checking the close crack on the front edge of the hood and nose. There wasn't a way that I could see to undo the hinge bolts to cheet it up.
Anyway we held the hood by the cowl and pushed towards the windshield while pressing down then pulling up and having someone else pull the hood release again and again until it finally popped open. I was swetting it.
I think now it is open and closing fine, I will keep the latches greased.
Hope this gives you some ideas and good luck.
