Car did not have the headlight vac tank. I bought one and will attempt install.
Is there a way to unbolt the master cylndr and move it out of the way without disconnecting the brake lines, then remove the pwr brake resvr to install the vac tank? Any and all tips appreciated....
Thanks Guys
Eddie
If you unbolt the side louver and take it out, the job will be much easier. Larry
Have you tried this yourself????? I didn't think there would be enough room to get it out even if you removed the cannister and the shield........just curious...

Are you talking about the original 3 port 72 Vac tank monster (not the replacement coffee can type) fitting through the louver cut out? Others have tried that with no success. What's your secret???
Eddie
No, I don't think it would fit through there.
I'm simply stating that I believe you will find it easier to mount and to work around it if you take the insert out.
I've done this to work in the area myself and it makes it easier for me.
It just gives you better access and viewing. But doing it is completely up to you.
Just a tip in response to your "Any and all tips appreciated...."

:iagree: Sounds good Larry. Thanks... I was afraid there was no easy way. I just don't want to have to fill & bleed the brakes afterward, so I'm going to try and keep those lines connected to the Master cylndr and just move it out of the way.
