Re: Rust proofing the frame and inside the frame. (bluebelVETTE)
I like Por 15. http://www.por15.com/
It can be sprayed so if you have the right equipment, you can get it in tight places. However, enless an area is subject to getting wet, you don't have to go crazy getting it into every nook and cranny. Also, with Por 15, the preparation is much less than products that cannot neutralize rust. Check it out.

I loved my usage of por15 as well. I am looking into getting a setup to spray it. I just painted it on the first time, wanted to see if it was worth it and I'll be darned if it isn't.
Re: Rust proofing the frame and inside the frame. (Spook)
I may use POR 15 for the outside, what you all think to spray oil inside the frame and the area I can't get to with POR 15? Atleast the oil helps to prevent rusting/repels water or keep away moisture.
That's what I do when I leave car parts outside I just coat it with oil or grease.
Re: Rust proofing the frame and inside the frame. (bluebelVETTE)
There is special wax/oil that is meant for inside frame protection. The solution
is pretty cheap ($25/gal or less) - but the spray equipment will cost ya.
My auto parts store had the stuff @ about $25 a gallon ... buy 4 gallons and
get the complete spray setup for $100. I shoulda bought it, since you can do
a lot of protecting for that $200 total.
I actually had my frame cut open, but chose NOT to POR15 it on the inside.
Trust me, I'm a POR15 nut, but I saw too much loose scale to warrant the
use of the POR15. I figured that I can always spray it later with the wax/oil
solution.
