Default Odometer question

If you pruchase a car as the 2nd owner and the odometer says one thing but you have gotten maint. records from the dealer that the car was originally purchased from & found that the dealer replaced the engine at say 92k miles and you decided to sell the car, should you say that the milage is what the odometer still says or say the milage is what is on the new engine?

I'm not clear on what you're asking, but I think maybe it's "Do you tell 'em the milage on the car or the milage on the engine"? Both, I would think--I'd tell 'em just what you told us--engine swap at 92K.

:iagree: I would want to know both. Even if the engine is fresh, the tranny and suspension still have 92k.

The question, however, is what do you put on the title?

When the title was xferred from Cali to Texas, for what ever reason, Texas input exempt in the odometer reading space on the title so it really doen't matter as far as the title goes.
