Default Plexi-glass TTops......?

I have a set of Plexi-glass TTops on my car. I've never seen anyone with these.

Anyone know who makes these? I'm having issues with the seals and mounting hardware.

I had the factory frames rebuilt with acrylic (plastic) after my glass ones broke. Thompson Astro tops rebuilt mine, and I am VERY happy with the quality.

I think the page is http://www.astrotops.com They make 2 styles for the C3. A big one piece replacement that everyone says sucks, and they rebuild the factory frames with plastic.

No, these aren't factory frames with inserts. It's molded Plexi-glass with weather-stripping - no frame.

I couldn't get the link to work.

I actually like mine.

Granted, it does not seal great and the mounting hardware is cheap.

But overall, for use on a day that is not tool hot, not too cold, nor raining, ...

I am pretty sure the link is correct, as I searched Google and got the same address. Their web page must be down.

They run adds in just about every Vette magazine. Just look for Thompson Astro Tops. They are the only ones around that make that one piece unit.

Swamp Thang - Do you know who manufacture's the tops?

BSerry - No, it's a two piece design. Very Cheap - I might add but they came with the car so I won't complain. I just need to see if I can get parts.

Thanks again.

I thought mine were Astro Tops at first, but someone informed me that these were called Moonroofs. They were suppose to be a factory option, but something happened, that got scrapped, so the company just sold them out right, kind of rare I'm told. I like them, kind of best of both worlds, but the locking and sealing need some work, maybe in spring.

I had some that came with my car when I bought it. They were blue plexi, with matching paint around the edges. They didn't fit well, but they sound like what you describe. Molded plexi, with weatherstripping. I donated them to a "garage sale" for our club's charity. Somebody paid $20, I believe.

Seems the t-tops you are describing are the "Saratoga Tops" mfg by Ferrigan & O'brien inc of New York. These tops have been out of production for over 20 years and the company has long since gone under. More info on these and "Moonroofs" are found on page 5 of my website.
