Default safety...4point or sharkbar

well now that i have the corbeau seats in that accept a 4point+ belt and the 383 with 480+ hp i am wondering about safety. I will probably spray this engine with a 75-100 shot that should push me into the 11's

what r the rules at nhra/ihra tracks for safety and speed.

should i just run a sharkbar ($520) and a 4point or 5point harness

or http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...96&prmenbr=361
a 4point cage for 126+ welding and installation probably 200 total and a 4 or 5point harness?

i will not be running a track only car, but don't want to get kicked off either, i feel the track is a great tuning instrument and need it. :banghead:

Default Re: safety...4point or sharkbar (munday)

As far as I know - you'll need a 2 point roll bar with a coupe and a 6-point cage wigh a convertible if you want to go faster than 12.00 on a NHRA track...
On IHRA tracks - no rollbar/cage is required until you hit 11.49 (with a coupe)
