Well last night I started working on the wiper door/grill. I adjusted the 2 center posts and used 2 flat washers painted black and got the grill aligned horizontally withthe hood. now I removed both the gril, the wiper door and all the lower trim which I polished with the buffer. First thing I did wrong was try to polish the left molding surround with the buffer and the buffer caught on the one screw hole ripped it out of my hand and smashed it against the wall, bent up pretty bad. :banghead: :banghead: and it really didn't need poilshing. Get this both pieces do not have rear clips holding it to the body just the 1 small screw by the ends of the fender where it meets the wiper door. The guy had used monkey fist to hold on the trim  the clamps I have laying around won't work so I superglued the trim (Bubba at work here) then I painted the undersides of both door, grill and wiper galley. Although the grill fits better there is still the wiper door which sits 1/8th inch higher and forward of the side trim. Where are the adjustment points? Is it the linkage on the actuator? If there is an adjustment I don't see it.
Just found the adjustment points. Had to remove grill and door. Man those forward wiper door bolts are an absolute bitch to reach and if you drop one oh Lord!! Down the fender it goes to the deep black hole.
Cali, since my car was a custom when I bought it, I have little qualms of modifying anyting on it....so when I first did the wiper door assy, I cut a slot in the end tips of the 4 bolts holding the door to the mechanism....and on my car the ends are easily reached as the door mounting holes are through drilled/tapped....so I just use a small 1/8 inch screwdriver to spin the bolts in, and have over with it....hold in place with a dap of black RTV into the end hole when screw is in place.....easy to remove, and never a failure yet....
Dave, I've never seen that trim unpainted. I like it. How about a horizontal pic showing it flowing into the A pillars...more of the hood and the full windshield.

Dave, it looks like you have done a whole lot better than what mine is. I put the new hood on mine and then repaired my wiper door and wiper grill so all is fastened down good. Now nothing is aligned. Mostly hood needs to come down to meet the rest of the body and grill. That may be something I mess around with while I am off for the holidays.

Oh God I never realized it's unpainted. I reviewed the pics of my old 70 and your right. okay will put up more pics.
As you can see the drive's side trim is all bent up. that's my fault my buffer at couple hundred RPM caught on the screw hole and ripped it out of my hand flinging it at the wall. I hate when 3 owners 1000's of Bubba mechanics don't harm the car but then I come along :banghead: :banghead:
