Well, Its been a while since I've done any appreciable work to the vette.
Yesterday, I turned that around by finishing up some frame repairs on
the rear corner. I still have to do mucho cleaning and a little more welding
before I paint her up, but here are a couple pictures. I have a new camera,
and I'm still learning the ins-and-outs of it. So, ignore the crappy picture quality (for now).

How I started the day (first piece being put on to square up a cut I made).
Note the rot on the inside corner, which will be taken care of after flipping
the frame back onto it's belly.

The two vertical ribs freshly welded into place:

The outer plate being dry-fit:

Welded in place and ground clean:

End cap in place:

All in all, it came out OK. If I wanted to make it look really nice, a skim
coat of JB weld would smooth out the rough edges. I think I'll just end up
painting it.

Next step: flip the frame over.

Looks good. Did you end up getting a replacement frame or is this the original being repaired?

This is my replacement being repaired properly. A previous owner had fixed
these corners ... and not very well. Most of the "new" metal was removed
with a screwdriver and my bare hands.

I hope you are not using galvanized sheet for the patch? Are you also brazing the patch or mig welding it??
