Default picking up c5 seats tommorrow

i bought a set of c5 black seats from a forum member this morning, gone to meet tommorrow and get them.Instead of trying to find something to fit,i know these will with alittle work, and i like the idea of them sitting higher so i can see over the hood.

The fits I have seen look great. Good luck with it. Are you going to try to use the electrics on the drivers seat, or both like a passenger seat?

How hard is it to make them fit?

Once they are in, will a 6'2"-6'3" guys fit as comfortably in there as with the stock C3 seats?

Thanks!

FYI, I'm 6'1" and was unable to make a set of C5 Sport seats fit low enough to avoid my head hitting the softtop crossbrace.
Some have made these seats work by lowering the floorpan but that was more work than I wanted to tackle.
I ended up with a set of 96 collector seats which fit much better.

Thanks flynhi.

So do you think about any C4 seats would fit pretty good in a C3 and a 6'2" guy would not band his head? Or only those from a particular year?

Good deal Pat. Make sure to post pics. Keep us posted on the seats and how they look in your car.

I'm 6'1" and I have no problem with my C5 seats, just cut off the front curl (drill out the rivets) - yes they do sit a little higher but they are just so comfortable and very easy to get in and out of.

If anyone might be interested. I've still got a set of C5 seats for sale. Asking $725. These things are beautiful, I just seem to be on the wrong end of the country for those interested! Go Figure.

Basic Seats in Black, power drivers, manual passenger. I have an extra manual frame as well. I've got some components for a second power frame.

Seats are beautiful. Here's the link...

Congrats Pat, you will not be disappointed. The electrics should not be a problem as far as clearance. You will definitely enjoy the ride.

after looking at your engine I have decided to do a complete frame off resto (in 2 years) and put all else on hold right now. My frame is near perfect so it is time to protect it with some POR. Will likely drop a Z06 engine and 6 sp in at that time and crate my existing engine. Also put in some a/c as well - might as well do it all at once and have a virtually new vette under my C3 vert. for long distance comfort cruising.

If you are going to drop an LS6 in there.. put a ZF6 speed out of a late Fbody.

that way you wont have to destroy your frame trying to get a rear mounted transmission in there

Do you sit much higher than stock? I can't go much higher than stock.
