Today I spent about 10 hours working on my new blower engine that I'm going to install in 2 weeks. I came inside and opened my new issue (MAR 04) of VETTE magazine and the first thing I see is an article on how to install a shift ****. TWO PAGES with pictures & step-by-step instructions.

I expect next month there will be an article of step-by-step instructions for how to put gas in our C3s.
Well that is great, for you. Your truly talented when it comes to mechanical things. I wish you well. But some guys and gals are just starting out in this hobby. To them maybe changing the shift **** is a big deal. I remember back in the sixities when I had no idea how to change the transmission filter, I was lucky, I had a guy like yourself who took the time to show me how to do some simple jobs.
hmmm, I thought is was funny - I guess it was gas and oil fumes eating my brain today or maybe it was the case of beer. I'm serious. Unscrew old one. Screw on new one. Lots of light bulb jokes come to mind.
I am hesitant to believe anything they print now. One month they print the 2005 C6 WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE IN RED, three weeks after that you see a red 2005 C6 on a car transporter on national televison. What a bunch of idiots.
By the way, they did admit their mistake in this months issue.
So be careful about the "How to put gas in your C3 article", its liable to have revisions.
If Road and Track in their FEB04 issue has a spread on the C6, why then does Vette in their MAR04 issue not have anything on it except the Islandhopper photos? Am I missing something here? Is it a money deal-palm greasin' for the mag to get the scoop?
I perused the mag in about 10 minutes front to back, only really reading the hit the road article.
