Well after finishing the gas cap I decided to cruise down to Lake Murray...... 1500 foot drive.
pics.
After that I cruised around La Mesa (summer cruise strip) and went to home Depot for Mrs. Cali. Her next project, painting the entire interior of the house, may have me off the forum/ driving the Vette for a while.
Couple new additions made to my screen saver. Looks like a pretty nice place to live near.
Very nice 5.5 mile paved running trail all around the lake. And an older crowd. No more college kids like Pacific Beach with their coolers of beer, Ludicrous blaring and people vomiting in the beach bathrooms. Susan can go by herself at dusk for a walk and feel completely safe.
Nice pics. You should get one of those paint power rollers, cuts the job time in half.
:yesnod: :seeya
You know I considered it but my Dad said it was sloppy and took forever to clean. You liked it?
Hi Bob. :seeya

Cali,
Get one of those "Paint Sticks". Usually under $30. Basically a roller on a extension handle that is hollow and has a plunger at the end. You suck the paint into the tube and then with the "ratching feed handle", pump it up to the roller as needed. The best of both worlds. Had a power roller and yes it was messy and a pain to clean. This thing is simple, works well and cleanup is not too bad. Takes maybe 10 minutes but the time saved doing the actual painting is well worth it. :yesnod: Probably saves half the time, and certainly your back from all the bending to keep putting paint on the roller. FWIW.
Man, I was gone from the forum for a couple months (finishing up college), come back and Cali is back in a 'Vette - knew it wouldn't take too long. :D Looks amazing!
Time to find me a job so I can join ya (geographically speaking even - I'd love to get back down near SD). :seeya
