I am running 40's on my '68. To me, they are best fitting mufflers I have seen. On the 68/69, the exhaust cut out is on the outer edges of the rear valence (I am not sure where they are on your car). If you order the offset outlet version, the mufflers will sit up in there flush on either side of the spare tire and you literally cannot hardly see them. To me, this is much cleaner than some of the angled muffler installations that I have seen.
They sound great! Go with the 40's. The 50's are not loud enough!
Hey, if'n he don't want 'em... I DO!! I've got UPS and Airborne accounts, so I'll setup shipping and stuff. Lemme know!
Hey, I just listened to the 40 delta's on Flowmaster's website, and they didn't sound all that 'bad'... but they were on a rustang 5.slo. We all know they sound like crap anyway no matter what muffler you put on them. The 40 series sounded great on a '67 Camaro! Does the delta make it more quiet? I listened to the 50's, and then the 50 delta's and didn't really hear a difference.
Drone - resonate at a certain RPM... usually at cruising RPM wherer you'll be spending most of your time. Flowmasters tend to resonate inside the cab of the car like the inside of a speakerbox. Some people don't like it... it's music to my ears!
OK,gotcha..But do you think it had anything to do with the installation? Such as the rubber hangers or touching somewhere, etc  Becuase I've heard good things on here & other posts on other forums....

It's a matter of opinion...some like droning, some don't.
Have em on my 73 and love em but they do give a drone that is real bad with the top up so I see why some coupe guys don't like em, top down they rock. :steering:
I have the Delta 50's and really like them. They do resonate some at the lower rpms but at cruising they are great. When you get on it they make the vette sound like a vette is supposed to sound. :yesnod: :D :D
