Default 16" electric fan?

will a 16" perm-a-cool (2950 cfm) fan cool a big block by itself. i have a stock radiator currently. it does fine while driving but sitting in triaffic it will rise to 210+ also i would like to remove the fan clutch and shroud just to clean things up.

I have a 67 nova with a big block one fan didn't cut it so I installed a Be Cool duel fan set up major improvement. Temp is locked on 180.

Yeh, and the underhood of a NOva is like Carlsbad caverns compared to a vette too....and so I think the best solution is a dual spal set up from Tom Dewitt....supporting vendor here....

I have a single, shroudless 16" fan that cools my 406 just fine. Of course, my cooling system is in very good order. I might be worried otherwise.

[EDIT] I misspoke. I meant Permacool No. 19115. Here's a link: http://www.perma-cool.com/Catalog/Cat_page16.html

There's a forum member in Arizona that has a single Permacool fan on his Vette and has no problems in the Arizona heat.. I have a 2950 cfm Permacool in combination with a dual flex-a-lite fan setup...but my engine creates a lot more heat than a stock engine..

Mine never goes over 190 even in the 95 degree summer heat. This setup makes engine pulls a breeze with out the shroud.

I run 2 16 inch electric fans with a large core aluminum rad. Each is controlled seperately and most of the time I just need one but on hot days in stop and go I need the second fan. I hate to see anything over 200.
2 16 inch fans will not fit behind the rad so I have one mounted low and off to the left and one mouned in front and high to the right. They overlap slightly in the middle but all the rad is covered.
If the day is nice, not too hot I leave both turned off while cruising .
