Default Update on A/C

I'm pulling the A/C out. I live in Georgia because of the AF. I will be moving back to Wisconsin in the near future. My 80 Z-28 has the A/C removed and I have handled it for four years down here. I am trying to remove all A/C components to prevent a hack job (so I can replace, if needed). I really don't plan on selling the car (I've had my 80 Z-28 for over 10 years). So with that being said, any advice on the removal?
Thanks :flag

You didn't mention a year, but basically save the stuff you take out in case plans change in the future. The older car stuff is VERY pricey to replace, especially brackets and parts specific to the vette. It sure makes them easier to work on and there is a significant weight savings.

It is a 1980 also. I need to replace my lower alternator bracket and you are correct, they are pricey. $78 for the bracket. Imagine the A/C brackets would be close to that. Thanks :flag
