I started on the easy side, the passenger side. I have the heat riser mechanism and the back five manifold bolts out. I have taken the a/c bracket apart and have the bottom outside bolt that goes through the bracket and a/c out but can't get the bushing out to remove the compressor so I can get the bracket off that last manifold bolt.
spray with liq wrench or similar, than go to hammer.Try a small chisel or screw driver. You may have to take the compressor out compltley. Just disconnect all the bolts so you can angle it out of the way.Than maybe you can see the bushing area a little better and have better access to manipulate it out.
That's my problem. There is really no access to the bushing and it is holding the compressor in place.
I may not be clear on what I am taling about. This is the bushing for the long bolt on the bottom outside corner of the compressor that it rotates on when you adjust belt tension. There is a small bushing in the back that sticks out far enough that it catches on the back edge of the compressor while between the brackets and won't let me pull the compressor out. I can't pull the bushing out from the back and I can't push it out from the front because the pulley is in the way.
