Detailed Paint Pics..going the extra mile
The seams on the car were typical 69 corvette seams...WAVY! Especially the passanger side rear quarter. Well, after many times of blocking and sanding and primer...I think i got both front fenders and both rear quaters looking smoother than ever.
I even took the time to smooth out the rear seam above the tailights, where NCRS shows actually look for the bonding strip that shows through the paint.
I fabricated the same look for the back like the original sidepipe cars with the straight line rear valence panel. That was an ALL DAY job!
Now for the killer finish..all the hard work paid off. I went the extra mile and accomplished my goal. I used a different type of paint that was suppose to be more durable, wetter looking, and deeper. i did all the stripping, body work, and painted this car myself, and it took me 1 full month. Heres a sneak peek....
