Car seemed to be running rich. It's pretty much a stock 1970 350/300 horse with just a slightly upgraded cam. After plucking all 8 plugs it looks as if they are all dry fouled (black, dry appearance over entire plug head). I guess I can fix that by adjusting the mixture & choke settings, right?
Any other thoughts as to cause? Is the plug too cold? They're Autolite AP85 Platinums gapped to .035". Should I clean 'em up and reinstall, or should I go with a set of AC's? Maybe an R44?
What plugs are you running?
Has anyone ever side-gapped their plugs for street use? If so, did you see any noticeable difference?

Re: spark plug questions (ettev)
If you think your having plug problems go back to the stock AC R44T. Yes you adjust mixture with fuel jetting and if you really want to get it right the modern way install an O2 - Air/Fuel meter. I have never heard of side gapping but plug indexing is good for any engine - just more effective on the high power/compression motors.
