Default wiring question.

Under the dash there is a connector (thick gauge purple wire and thick gauge purple with white stripe) Where do these connect to?

73 454 4 spd.

Clutch pedal switch? Must have continuity through those for it to start I think.

Yep,sounds like the connector for the clutch safety switch,does your car start without the switch.

It did for the 30 seconds It actually ran. Bought the car last Friday started it drove it off the truck and into my garage now its about 50% stripped down. Fixing :smash: 31 years of "bubba". That switch was not connected!

Maybe they shorted out the two purple wires because the switch was faulty.Worth looking into. :yesnod:
