Mirrors
My mirrors on my 81 are manul adjusted ones with the little *****. They do not stay where they are adjusted at all. Everytime I shut the door the mirrors just point off to a random direction. The things are really screwed up and it is starting to drive me crazy!!! :crazy: What can i do to fix them??

I aint no expert...
We just pulled the hardware of my fiends 79 L82 and had to fiddle with the mirror. The lever on the inside of the door is conected to four cables that run all the way to pivots on the outside mirror (thorugh the door). If you push the lever one way then the mirror gets pushed in a direction. In order to check the pivots out you may have to remove the interior panel, unbolt the control lever, unbol the mirror and slide out the cable, If it is sloppy you can buy the whole assembly that goes inside the mirror surround and install is teh reverse. Hopefully you can find a way to adjust the pivots but if the cables are stretched then you will have to replace.
