Question on installing vacuum hoses.

I received my Doc Rebuild headlight vacuum hose kit today and have a question about installation. Each hose has a colored stripe on it to identify the lines. My question is, do you install the hoses so the line is visible or do you put the stripe side down so it is not visible from the engine compartment? Thanks for the help. :steering:

In my engine compartment the lines are up so you can see them. I don't know if that is factory correct as there were many owners before me.

Right or wrong, I would want them visible for future trouble shooting easy identification.

On some of the OE ones Iv'e seen they twisted and turned and there was no care to make them visable.
