Default Easy '75 carb recommendation

The carb on my '75 L-48 which was just delivered today seems a little wonky. I was having trouble getting it to idle today. I would get the car going and then after around 20 seconds it would try and die on me. When I would give it gas it wouldn't drop down to idle, just die. Once the car warmed up it seemed to stay put. I was able to drive it across the parking lot by giving it 1500 rpms or so and going from neutral to drive with no brake. :)

Can someone recommend a carb that I will be able to swap pretty easily, and that also won't need much (if any) adjustment to get running properly? I have a new motor for this car already, and will most likely be swapping to fuel injection. I would just like to get something dependable going right now. I'm going to have to start driving this thing daily soon, unfortunately, because my other car is pending sale. Kinda scary not knowing what works or whatever. Already this thing needs some work. :)

Any recommendations? I don't know much about carbs at all, but I can do bolt-ons and maybe a little tuning with someones help. Also, something on the cheaper end would be nice. :)

Jeff
