My turn signal lever broke off when I was turning on my turn signal, so now I need to replace it. I have been doing research on the forum to see what I need to do. I know what you are thinking...it's probably just your lever that broke, but I am pretty sure its the inside piece that the lever goes onto. I included a picture of it.
My real question is how do I remove this piece of the steering column so that I can dig farther into it and get to the turn signal assembly part of the steering column? The picture of the piece is below.
Re: Help Needed: Steering Column Disassembly (CrossedFlags77)
Check the Corvette Faq, Jim Shea a retired engineer for the Saginaw Steering division of GM, has a complete set of papers and write ups on steering column disassembly. http://www.corvettefaq.com
Good Luck! Maybe Jim will see this and help you out if you don't have any luck with the documents.
Re: Help Needed: Steering Column Disassembly (Smokehouse69)
I downloaded all of his papers and I didnt see anything about how to take that particular part off. Maybe someone has been in this situation before and will know how. Thanks for the help though.

You will need a steering wheel puller to pull the hub off of the steering shaft. Make sure that you install the bolts from the puller so that they are equal length. You want to draw the hub off without cocking the puller.
