Opinion on New Product?
If you are one of the many Corvette owners who like to show off that pride
and joy at car shows and outside exhibits, then you know the dangers that
sun damage can do to the hood of your precious antique.
Most owners have been using an old towel to cover the breather cover for
years. The "No Reflection Custom Cover" can be used on most vintage C1, C2
and C3 Corvettes. So stop throwing a towel at the problem and buy a "No
Reflection Custom Cover".
It solves an age-old problem that now has a simple fix. It protects your
hood from getting burned by the reflection of the sun off your chrome air
breather cover. This product can save you thousand in repairs, like the cost
of a new hood and paint job. This product will give your engine compartment
and your vintage car a look of class and you peace of mind. For more

I live in arizona with bright sun all day. I would be more concerned about underhood temps cooking the clear coat off with the hood closed.

but burning a hole through your hood from the REFLECTION... :bs

Not for everybody, perhaps, but a great idea for folks who show their Corvettes.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
so if i park my Vette beside another at a show, the sun reflecting of my chrome rims will ruin the paint on the car beside me?

One of our club members will not put his hood up at shows anymore because he has had to repaint it 3 times. the aircleaner actually focusses the suns beams on a tight point and can burn through the hood! it is a concave mirror.
However, I DO recognize the testimony of respected members here to
justify the need (for some people - at least).
You learn something new everyday. :seeya
I didn't check the pricing but there is definitely a market for this item. I just don't know how big that market is.
Oh and Rhonda, the big chrome bit on the top is not a "breather". It is the "Aircleaner lid" or "Aircleaner assembly"
