High-output engine (~400hp)
Will this cause the shifter to vibrate at higher RPMs? I can't compare to a stock engine, because I have only had the car with this HO engine. The transmission is the stock Muncie close ratio and the clutch is Centerforce dual friction. I'm wondering if the vibration I think is bad is actually normal and am not used to a real performance engine.

The stock Corvette shifter will make noise if the reverse lockout "T" handle spring is weak ("T" handle will vibrate against shifter stick.) There can be many factors causing shifter vibrations, my solution, put big solid lifter cam and loud exhaust on car and you won't notice (Heh Heh.) :steering:

It has a 268XE cam, with headers and 2.5 exhaust. So it's pretty loud, not as loud as a solid lifter 3 inch exhaust, but loud enough to let people know what's under the hood, dude.
