Powder-Coated Valve Covers
Picked these up on Ebay. They arrived today and look very nice! Looks like a busy spring.

Look nice, did they only coat the outside? Had heard that having it on the inside is bad because it can flake off ending up in the oil system.

The hammer was for the distributor rebuild; don't ask. And yes that is the notorious C2 valve cover casting flaw. During the 1966 model year, the mold used to form the L79 engine's cast aluminum valvecovers developed a crack, which first appeared as a vertical ridge running across the "O." The flaw was carried over to 1967.
