Most of the rubber under my '74 was dry rotted and cracked. I replaced most of it with poly, but I still have some rubber left (body mount bushings etc.). Is there a way to keep the rubber I have left from going bad in the future.
Mother's "Back to Black" did a nice job making some of my old stuff look great. There is also silicone spray and Armorall (I don't thing the amorall was as good as the mother's product).
It looks like the best rubber preservative is for aircraft, It's Goodrich Agemaster Rubber Protective Agent. You would have to be Good and Rich to afford it as it is VERY expensive. http://shop.store.yahoo.com/stylespi...4-451-127.html
Even better if you go to the 303 products page you can order a free sample, which I did. And if I get all of my friends and family to order a free sample I should have enough to last a while.
