Great idea, I would like to have one like this one from the other thread:
Have you or anyone else found a way to print these on transparent plastic so you can put them in your windshield?
Would be great to come with one of those on the windshield to next club meeting! :D :D
The problem with printing on transparent film would be printing the white. You would need an ALPS printer to do that, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...5&category=178
or you could print it on white film and cut it out, but then you would have to stick it on the outside of the window and the ink probably wouldn't last very long. Once I get the car back on the road I might go find someone who can make me one or two.
Yes i suppose that any company that works with printing posters and such should have the equipment to do these things. I known some companies in sweden, I'll check with them and see what they can do.
If they can make it I'll mail you for images with higher resolutions.
I like the whole concept of scaring the bee-jeebers out of the "that-flaw-is-TECHNICALLY-correct..." (WTF?) crowd, but your ideas don't go quite far-enough!!!
I say you keep the White circle with the wording "NOT CORRECTLY RESTORED STINGRAY" as-is, but re-position the 'Crossed-Flags'/NCRS-logo to beneath the cirlce.
Inside the circle, you incorporate a picture of something like Bruce Larson's (Mr. USA-1) or Tom McEwen's (the Mongoose) mid-to-late '70s-era Nitro-burning Funny Car, leaving the line 'wheels-up', GMC-blower sticking thru the windshield, and 'zoomie' header-pipes belching flames roof-top high.....
Now, THAT 'says' NOT CORRECTLY RESTORED STINGRAY,
don't you agree?
:yesnod:  :chevy
Hey Gator- My buddy at work makes T shirts and stuff on the side. He said he'll mail you a free T shirt with a design you choose if you let him use the design.... Email me @ eberger@us.ibm.com if your interested.
I like the first one.
You might want to check to see if NCRS is copyrighted before producing stickers/t-shirts. You don't want to get caught up in some sort of legal battle.
Start the presses. Here is a version that does not infringe any copyrights, except maybe Paul's. Also I officially do not claim any rights to any of these designs.

these stickers are great! but...may i make a suggestion?
(this kind of thing is what i do everyday...)
instead of going around in a circle with your copy...
try putting "NOT CORRECTLY" arched around the top...(centered)
and "RESTORED CORVETTE" arched from the bottom...(centered) but not upside down...
that is how the pros would do it...
:) :yesnod:
just a suggestion...
My initial thought was to be able to read it four different ways
"Not Correctly Restored Stingray"
"Correctly Restored Stingray Not"
"Restored Stingray Not Correctly"
and "Stingray Not Correctly Restored"
OK - now that there is a "non-copyright" version, I would be happy to make
some coffee mugs for members. I can do one of these non-copyright logos
on one side ... and a picture of your vette on the other ... or whatever you
dream up. I'll charge youz guyz $10 each plus whatever the post office wants to
deliver it.
