The seller is very balanced in the presentation of the car. There is no :bs nor any other malarkey. He likely tells the truth when he says his parents were proud of it and planned to drive it forever.
That said, I'm curious as to the reserve price on this one... :steering:
I remember the special 'Dallas Cowboys Edition' Corvette. This reminds me of it, but I don't think this is it. Does anyone have a picture of it for comparison?
I wonder what ever happened to that lady, did we all scare her off?
It isn't the same car. The other car definately had '80-'82 bumpers. It was supposedly a '78 or some crap like that. If there is indeed a "Dallas Cowboys" model, I'd say that this one is alot closer to being the real deal.
I'm not crazy about the looks of this car, but it is refreshing to see an e-bay seller that honestly represents what they are selling. Most of the cars I see are POS's being described as show quality.
Don't know anything about the Dallas Cowboy/Super Bowl Edition Corvette, by why would it be a '79?
The Steelers beat Dallas 35-31 in January '79 during Super Bowl XIII
I'd figure the SB-Edition might be a '78, as Dallas beat Denver in SB XII in January '78...
Come to think of it for those that mentioned it, I now remember the other one "maybe" being a '78, but it DID HAVE '80-'82 front and rear bumpers because someone made the comment that the bumpers could not have been on it originally BECAUSE it was a '78.(From what I remember)

I had a guy contact me about one of these about a year ago. He claimed there were two of them and he had one of them. When I asked if he could somehow certify that it was one of the SuperBowl cars, he said he was working on it. He never contacted me again.
