Shark Pics
Long time members of this section may recognize my car, as it used to belong to Steve Adkins. After several months of hounding the poor guy, he finally agreed to sell it to me...and a few months ago, I drove through the mountains of NC and Tennessee with fellow forum member (and good buddy) RLH, and we brought it home in Rob's enclosed trailer.

new paint and posted pictures of her. He did a lot of nice work to that. Love the color.
I guess I missed Steve selling the car. Did he replace it ... or just fade away ?

By the way, mind if I add a pic to this Shark Collection? Here's a shot of some Sharks surrounded by a mid-year and a C5.

NHVette - Steve never really advertised the car. We were in contact for almost a year, and by the time that he was finally ready to sell, I had already sold my 2000 'vert and was in a position to buy. In fact, RLH and I had been looking at Sharks in the classifieds, but we pretty much stopped the search as soon as I found out that there was even the slightest chance that Steve's car could become available.
I still talk with Steve, though not lately. He's working on another project, and probably staying real busy with his new son.
Eddie - the power antenna is cool....good mod. The whole stereo in this car is pretty lethal, in fact.
corvettemaster - the color is called Vintage Plum Pearl. It's a factory color from (gasp!) Honda! I've actually seen this color on an Accord, but it doesn't look as cool as it does on a Vette for some reason. Steve shot the car himself, and like everything else, he did a GREAT job.
RLH - I don't think you know how to drive an old Shark - or any car, for that matter - without barking the tires! Anyway, that was a fun day. One of those days that if I live to be 100, I'll always remember. Driving through the beautiful mountain scenery in the Fall, chill in the air, thermos full of hot coffee, going to pick up a Classic Shark - a car that I'd dreamed about since childhood. And then bringing it back, through some nasty weather, while the car stayed safe and dry in the back.
And of course, can't forget that delicious lunch at Taco Bell.....****!!! :cuss :U
Once again, thanks for helping out with your expertise, and (especially) with the truck!
