Need help identifying LT-1 engine

Need help identifying LT-1 engine
I've been searching for the codes of LT-1 engines with no luck. The engine in my 68 C10 is supposedly a transplanted 1970 LT-1. The heads and intake and the obvious sound of forged pistons when its cold outside lead me to belive it really is. I checked the tab on the front of the engine by the passenger tab but the numbers are very hard to decipher. I'm wonder if the block was decked and part of the numbers were shaved or maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.
In short these are my questions:
1. Is there a website with all the block, head, intake, carb identicication numbers that I could use to determine what I have.
2. Where on the block should I look for these numbers?
3. What value would you give this motor assuming its a 1970 LT-1 with the proper heads and intake? It does run just fine but I dont know any details of it other than its ran like a champ the last 2 years for me.

1 - http://www.mortec.com has casting number info
2 - you're looking at the right spot for the stamp pad info. You need to clean the pad surface off a bit better so you can see what characters are stamped up there. Wipe it off and take some omore pics and post 'em. http://www.idavette.net/facts/70.htm has the stamp codes for a '70 LT-1. The 3 letter suffix should be either CTK CTR CTU or CTV.
3 - hard to give a value, since it's really only "original" to one specific car if it really is an LT-1 motor. Maybe someone else would have an idea of value....
