Rear end noise????

the simplist is to change the fluid in the differential making sure the 4oz of the positraction additive is added.
could be any of the universal joints. could be the rear wheel bearings. Im sure others will chime in on their opinions.
Assuming the shop found nothing else amiss in your rear suspension, then try changing out the rear end fluid and add at least one, or better yet two bottles of GM posi additive. Then goto a parking lot and do a bunch of figure 8's to work the new fluid into the posi unit.
If this doesn't help then your issue is probably somewhere else. However unless you know the last time the rear end fluid has been changed, then this is a good idea regardless if it fixes your issue or not. Your diff will thank you either way! :yesnod:
Good Luck!

Also check your E-brake hardware ASAP. I had mine come loose and self destruct, locking up my drivers rear tire. Started to hear the noise doing around 50. I pulled over after about 1 mile to investigate and that is where my rear tire locked up.
Cost me a flatbed ride home. Needless to say my e-brake hardware is permanently removed. Once I removed the rear rotor, the e-brake hardware just fell to the ground. Passenger side was still perfect. Cali car so hardware was basically rust free. An old spring let loose I suppose.
