Default Paint question

How much material does it take to paint a C3 coupe? How many gallons each of base coat and clear coat?

Also, how many quarts/gallons did it take the factory to cover these cars with the old Lucite Lacquer?

I used acrylic enamel 2 stage.
I used appx. 2qts of epoxy primer to seal in the bare fiberglass, this is a sprayed amount after mixing.
then I sprayed the sandable primer surfacer, used appx 3qts of the primer this primer is colored to your topcoat color and the 3qts is the UNmixed amount I think it was appx. 5-6 qts mixed as I wanted to wet sand the primer. I then sparyed about 3 qts of the base(color) and then I laid the clear on again enough so I could wet sand the clear which I guess was about
5-6 qts. was last year so I'm guessing a bit. this is the mixed amount of clear.
Also I personally would stay away from the lacquer. You hear folks talk about paint that's bubbled.....that is from lacquer, lacquer will dry fast and may form like a shell which locks in solvents underneath. Eventually these solvents want out and this may start your ugly bubbling, which may not appear for extended period of time.
