Default Speedo Gear for 82
Replaced 2:87 gears with 3:08 gears.What number of teeth do i now need on speedo driven gear?700R tranny and 225/70/15 tires. :confused:

BowTie Overdrives has a conversion on their site. You can order from them or take the tooth number to your local GM dealer and with the help of a friendly parts guy you can get the right one. Any non-electronic speedo 700R4 should work for an application, try 1988 IROC or Camaro, Truck, or Impala.

I agree with Mark. Either visit the BTO site or give them a call and they will sell you the correct speedo gear.
