Another Wacko Ebay Auction
Another Wacko Ebay Auction. Below is what I emailed to the seller.
I'm confused on your statement below: How did a 1973 454 engine block get produced in 1968 or 1969??
CASING NUMBERS FOR THE BLOCK ARE AS FOLLOWS...9-28-73....3999289...AND FOR THE PISTONS--L2308AF--TRW...KEEP IN MIND THIS IS AN EXTREMELY LOW MILEAGE ENGINE,,AS IT WAS PRODUCED IN 68 OR 69 AND WASNT RAN PAST 1972..

OK, now someone needs to mail him and ask him how a 427 has a 1973 build date.

Re: Another Wacko Ebay Auction (MotorHead)
here is his reply back to the email I sent him.
am very sorry fo rthe confusion,,i always took it for the truth that the entire engine was late 68 or 69...not just teh crank and pistons....guess i should have found a way to check the casting dates first...and i had no idea it was a 454 block...thanks for the info,,ill be taking the listing off,,jack
