1977's with 4-speeds did not come with cruise control, but someone had a Danacor in it when I bought it six years old. I eventually replaced it with a newer one that worked well. Unfortunately, the only thing they could get to work was a Danacor unit for a Ford F-150. It was completely separate from the washer/wipers with it's own controller that fit on the end of the tilt lever.
We have replaced it with a C5 unit that will plug right into the C5 column. Pure Bow Tie when we are finished.

Our 77 has the cruize control button on the tilt wheel lever. The wipers are on the turn signal lever.
