I'm 6'6" and am reasonably comfortable in my '74. No problems, just don't expect to drive with your legs straight! Oh, and make SURE you have a tilt-tele steering wheel...I'm not so sure it would work without one.

Well I'm 7'2" with size 18 feet. I removed my gas tank and mounted the seat on top of my spare tire then I ...

There are some big dudes around here.
Actually I'm a humble 6'3" and fit snugly in my 71. I'm really impressed some folks have gone to such measures to fit in their cars. I did the tilt conversion & went with a smaller wheel. That alone made a huge difference. I like the idea of cutting out the foam and carpet under the seat mounts. May have to try that.

6'4", and I fit fine in a m/t, no tilt/tele hardtop. There is a trick to getting in/out of these cars, but once you master it, it is easy. On the other hand, a lot of my friends, all of them smaller than I, whine about how cramped they are. Go figure.

The best advice is to hop in the Corvette of your choice and see if you like it.

Others have implied it, but let me say it.....as mentioned above, I'm 6'4", 240 lbs....I fit fine in my 69 (and 63 for that matter)... BUT...these cars are not as comfortable as your modern daily driver. They're not as roomy, etc.

I currently drive a Dodge Durango. LOTS of room. Don't expect ANY Corvette to be roomy like that. I had a couple of C4 coupes. They "fit me" fine too.....it's just that it's a "sports car" fit.

Don't go looking, expecting to find a car that you can get into easily, and then stretch your legs. NO Corvette is like that. :) Chuck

Chuck, I may not be able to stretch my legs, but having them now 4-5" off the wheel is fine enough....allmost as much clearnace as an old B body Caddy or something....I find the smaller tighter seats of say a C4 to be very uncomfortable...no side room, no room to sloutch and change positions on long trips....allthough I have never driven a C5, but from sittig in one, I think that situation is greatly improved...but still not a good for ME as my old C3, all in that used to I guess.....

Probably the second time in my life that I feel lucky to be 5'7" Never have to worry about fitting into any car.

First time was when a 5'20" guy was chasing me one night, and I just ran under the clothes lines!!!

I'm 6' 3-1/2" and with the T-tops on, my head is rubbing. You taller guys telling the poster that he'll fit are surprising me.

I could see the guys with glass tops having additional room, but a stock 72 t-top is pushing down on my head.

I drive the car w/o the tops 97% of the time. Even if it's 40 degrees with the heater on. They're in the car for security and rain insurance.

Just for giggles I went and sat in another dream car of mine that several people told me I could fit in. When I sat down in the '66 Mustang, my knees would not even fit under the steering wheel. I am beginning to doubt I am going to fit in a 69-73 vette, are the early 80's any bigger. I do notice that some of them have the mirror tops. Does that truly make a difference?

RASCH :) :cry

I'm only 6' 1" but I just fit in my '82. Mostly it's due to leg room. I have long legs and with the tilt in a good place for turning, my leg bumps the wheel bottom when I go to brake.

I want to here more from mrvette on extending the foot compartment, since the seat has the frame behind it, it can't go back much.
Do you have pic's of your mod?

I'm 6'2", 210 lbs. and have no problem in my 69 T-Top.

But I will strongly recommend that you make sure it has a tilt/tele wheel.

Good luck with your search.
