Well after over 3 and a half months (so much for the 10 weeks they told me) my keissler tremec finally arrived. Of course the speedo gear and cable are back ordered but hey at least I have enough to attempt the install. If I knew it would take so long though I would have went for a 2.73 rear gear and a richmond 5 speed. I could have gotten it shipped in a week. Here are some pre install pics. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions before and during the install. Getting the 4 speed out was a breeze but I'm sure the install will not be as easy and boy is it heavier then the 4 speed.
Well I'd offer to help, but the cost of a plane ticket is a little prohibitive!! The UK is a bit far, shame though would of liked to see that go in!!
Your right I can't wait but unfortunatly I have to wait for some friends to help its way too heavy for me to do alone.
It can be done alone. I made a removable crossmember for it. I put it on my floor jack and slowly raised it up. Ihave two long studs that I install in the lower holes for the bellhousing. I worked on getting it up and in. It is heavier than the Muncie but it can be done alone. If you are trying to install it without a removable crossmember Good Luck. Let me know how it goes. I just did not want the hassle of that. Keep us posted. They look so good it is a shame you will never see it.
I thought about the removable crossmember thing (I'm not much of a welder). But I'm going to try it without doing it first mainly because I hope in a couple of years to get a chrome bumper c3 convertible (something like yours) and I'd like to take the tranny with me. Just by looking at the old and new tranny and reading the install intructions I realize why most people go the removeable crossmember route.
Sorry I'm not a web guru they were working this morning.
Sorry I think I've exceeded my bandwidth. Not sure what to do about it its a first for me. I'll gladly email them to you if you like.

Yup, you did, but I'd like to see the pics if you'd kindly email em. thx
A bolt in really. I wish I'd known that I thought for some reason the richmond 6 speed was longer then the 4 speed and the engine had to come out and the driveshaft shortened. I also heard the hurst shifter was another 400 bucks. Oh well live and learn.

Nope- same driveshaft, and the shifter is included.............
