You need to split this at 68-72 and 73 and later since the wiper system was dumped in 73. With some understanding of the operating and control systems and a bit of work, it can be done.

I bought a 72 coupe several years ago to "MAKE MONEY" on (I made about $500 for 250hrs of labor, GREAT RETURN!) I finished getting the vacuum system working about 1AM on morning, then realizing my lovley wife was driving my 72 LT-1 to work the next day, I remebered the wipers didn't work on it and there was a chance of RAIN! 2.5 HRS later I had tracked down the problem to an open resistor on the back of the winshield wiper motor causing the system to not function and fixed it! I really made great money on that 72 coupe! ($2.00 an hour!) never again! My winshield washers on my LT-1 do not work, the resivior has been replaced by a 2qt Accusump system! but all other functions work!

At one time it all worked 100%, but then I got bored, and put in a intermitant wiper on that door system the '72 has......then hit a deer which wiped out the headlights, so in went a set of fixed Eckler trays....
now I want to make a pair of operating lo profile lights....
maybe next year, maybe never....who knows...???

My vacuum system works great since I bought it. One of the wipers doesn't stow all the way and the wiper door gets stopped from closing completely flush. I have to get out and push the wiper the last few inches down for it to completely shut. Oh well, one more thing to tinker with.

My 72 has been working good for the last 5 years. I don't drive in the rain and rarly at night so not much call for it. I give it a work out about 2 times a year just to make sure it all works.

I got the headlights to work and the wipers to work, just not at the same time. :lol: The wipers will work only if I open the door for them---they're shy I guess. :lolg: I think I need an actuator.

let's see...... my vac advance works, my wiper door works, but the wipers don't work :(.... my headlights pop up... my vac can is bypassed, so I guess my vacuum system mostly works! :) MJ

I ain't got none of it working! :crazy:
I am in the process of going to elec. motors for my headlights, after that all vacuum goes away for me! :hurray:

My headlights are slightly slow, and my climate control system always blows out of the lower vents. Otherwise, it works well. My ThermAC motors work correctly, power brakes work well, etc.
