Passing along a project 68 Corvette
I didnt post this for sale because the cars not mine, but I heard rumor of a 68 vette for sale.It was about a hour away from me,so I had a friend nearby look at it.I'm not interested in yet another project,so if anyone is interested I'll set them up with it,take pics,etc..The car was stored indoors, but hasnt run until now for years. Its not the original paint, its supposed to be a numbers matching 327-turbo 400 car,T-tops,complete but typical of a stored car that hasnt been taken care of.The guy who has it now has a price of 7500 on it,and it does run.I just thought maybe someone here might be looking :seeya
Re: Passing along a project 68 Corvette (RHD '68 L89)
Pretty sure that TH400 was the only automatic in 68. I don't think you could get a 'glide in any C3 from the factory. I beloive the last year for Powerglide was 67.
400 THD was only auto available in '68. First year for it. '67 was last year for the powerglide. I understand the limiting factor prior to '68 was the trans tunnel wasn't big enough to fit the TH400 in the mid-years. $7500 doesn't sound too bad for a '68 project nowadays.
