Theft proofing
I would like to put a toggle switch under the dash in my 75. I would like this to disable the signal to the distr. so the car won't start. It is an HEI system. any ideas on what wire I should cut to put the remote switch in. :confused:

Any car thief can run a hot wire from the battery or alternator to the dist. I would add a small black "grounding" wire to the negative side of the coil and connect it to a switch. That way they would fry the coil before they figured out what was going on. Of course you'd have to replace the coil if someone tried to steal it but thats cheaper than replacing the entire car! :lol:
