Default 77 Cruise Control Cable

I am still searching for a 77 cruise control cable can anyone help me out. I need the cable that goes from the vacuum actuator to the carb. If someone could post a picture of theirs it would I may be able to have a local shop make one up or something that will work.

I'll see what I can do tomorrow. By the way, it did come off of my '77!

If it came off your 77 no reason it shouldn't work but there are three different cables one from the transmission to the transducer, from the transducer to the speedometer and another from the actuator to the carb. Want to make sure it is the correct one. I appreciate your help.

I replaced the vacuum diaphram and cable with the one that bolts onto the back of the engine from later model small blocks. It works much better and doesn't take up all that space on the fenderwell. I found one from a '78 Corvette, but it is the same as the one on my '82 Chevy pickup. Of course, I am ot concerned with originality.

I have considered converting to the 78 - 82 cruise control set up but would really prefer to keep it original. Would rather replace a singel cable than the entire set up and this car is probably 95% original. :steering:

It's the one to the carb linkage. Hopefully I'll find it tomorrow and send you a pic.

I tried to send you an e-mail. Fatal Errors!!

I've looked for the cruise cable twice today. No luck!! I'll keep checking around and if I find it I'll e-mail you. If you've found one, no problem.

Is your addy correct in your profile?
