When I bought my Camaro years ago, I though I was going to restore it to original. When it finally sank in that it was sooooo far away from original the way it was, and I could buy an original for alot less than I would spend to bring this one back, then I just decided to enjoy it as it was and do what I please with it.

So the reality is that you will probably never bring it back to original as it is WAY far past that now. So go with the 82 rear w/the spoiler if this is what pleases you.

Good Luck!

:seeya

I just got done looking at MY nightmare fender and to tell you the truth I am glad you are good with glass and may the force be with you -- that looks like alot of work!!!!!! If I remember your car was a 71ish with a 78 rear clip -- as far as the window. Anyways I think you should put some CHROME bumpers on it! glad you got a VETTE

Robert, how wide is your 72 in the rear? I'm realy leaning to the 68-73 panel.

With your fender flairs, the 80 - 82 rear spoiler will look nice...

I've never seen a 78-79 with chrome rear bumpers. Might look pretty cool
