I have the 2 chamber flowmasters and they are too damn noisy. They are coming off. Trade?
Replace your cat then decide. Mine was not too bad until I installed a new aftermarket cat. Thing runs much better with a new cat.

I have no cat either :nono: and I run a true dual system with flowmaster deltaflow 40's. The delta flow design makes them a little quieter than regular 40's, but more throatier than 50's. I like 'em. :hurray:  :yesnod:

I have been very satisfied wit hthe Delta Flow 50s on mine. With the headers it sounds very good at an idle or WOT. Any louder and it would call the cops for miles around. I'm over trying to impress everyone with a loud car. I don't need to get undo attention the car gets enough as is. I think you will be happy with the 50s.

I put flowmaster 40's on this 68. I love the sound.

Maybe someday I'll be ...... :)

I am very happy with my 40's especially with the top down.

I have 40 Delta's on my 69 with no headers.. I actually liked the sound of the 50's better ( I heard them on a Camero).. but the 50's did no fit on my 69 as bolt in. They are too long.
I'm gonna be replacing the engine and adding headers so I'm guessing the throaty sound I'll get then will wake up the neigbors when complete.

The neighbors love my regular 40s and headers at 5:30 in the morning. One of these days I might go down to 50s just to keep the peace.

I started with 40's and switched to the 50's. With the 40's, any conversation
was nearly impossible! I guess it comes down to a personal choice.

I have 2.5" true duals, x-pipe, and Flowmaster 40's and I like the sound, but I would actually like to go louder. I'm thinking of going to 4" open sidepipes or possibly using the JCL baffles

I have the Delta Flow 50's and really like them. I have true duals 2 1/4" with an H pipe and they seem to get better with age. :yesnod: They have a real nice throaty sound when you get on it.

The local muffler shop that put on my dual exhaust made the H pipe. When I drove it the first time I thought that I had made a mistake too but the more I drive it the better it sounds. :yesnod: All the more reason to drive it! :D :D
