How difficult is it to remove the A/C?
I have a 69 A/C coupe but the A/C has not worked in years. Since I haven't missed it I was going to remove the components (and naturally, save them for the next owner).
What exactly should I remove and how difficult a job is it?

DO NOT lay under the car and bleed the freon out of the system. I almost lost a cousin that way.
I guess it's bad but what happens when you are exposed to freon???
It melts your face, man. :D
Actually, my understanding is that it isn't particularly poisonous, and that the worst it will do unless you are sitting in a room full of it (or lying under a car in a garage) or you huff too much of it (yes, some folks use it as a recreational inhalant  ) is dizziness, an anesthetic effect, and eventually unconsciousness. The problem with the small room thing is that it's heavier than air and displaces it--so if you're lying under a car in a pool of the stuff, you could suffocate.
BTW, if you decide you want to sell that A/C stuff, lemme know. I'm trying to restore the A/C on my '69.
