I think an L88 hood and sidepipes are a good way to make it look mean.

Totally sinister=
satin black primer paint job
chrome mags
lowered radically
LOUD black sidepipes

Never mind. I just looked at your pic and it looks pretty sinister already.

Add some cut outs to make it real loud plus you can go back and forth without pissing your neighbors off all the time. :steering:

High compression so it sounds like cherry bombs going off instead of timed wheezing...

Nothing... NOTHING sounds like an 11:1 engine through a decent set of pipes. The other is not to over cam the engine... sure it sounds nice to have the thing barely running at idle, but if ya run a "nice" size cam with decent duration setup for a huge torque curve you get more giggles and grins!

Hey Paul, it's been a long time. :seeya My formula for sinister would be new wheels but stay away from chrome or polished aluminum. Go with flat black or gray and low profile tires. Get the ride height low . I mean slam it on the ground. I also agree that sidepipes would do some nice things for it as well.

Of course the real way to get the ultimate in sinister is to have a cam that makes the engine sound like it's going to jerk itself out of the engine bay and eat bystanders. High compression and a lot of overlap makes for all kinds of fun.

Great ideas Grandsport.... I think I would leave the same color, you already have the good hood, put some Torque Thrust II wheels with the dark gray centers and some 60'series BFGs, add some headers with Flowmaster 50's with 2 1/2" exhaust. You can install the exhaust the regular way keeping it the "sleeper" look or add some side pipes the same color as the dark gray wheels  lower the suspension some, and remove the tire carrier and redo the rear suspension for all to see, hey even add a traction bar from VBP!

You'll have people saying as you drive by "wow, thats sweet, it must haul" as we all have said at one time when we have seen a great vette go by
